Weibel Radar Conference

From the 21st to the 25th of September 2009, Weibel Scientific hosted the 4th Weibel Radar Conference at the Agelonde Conference Centre in La Londe les Maures, France. Mobile radar operations, remoting, MF-CW transponder technology and Multi Sensor Platforms were the topic of this year’s conference and participants from 22 different countries came to learn more about the new technology.
A large number of relevant speeches on the development and employment of radars were scheduled for the busy days of the conference – taking you back through the last 30 years of radar development and into the future of radar technology and design.

“We are really pleased with the way the conference went and we have had a lot of positive feedback from the participants. Naturally we put a lot of effort into making the program exciting but not too stressful, and I think we succeeded in doing just that. We are already looking forward to our next conference – it is a pleasure hosting an event like this for our attentive participants and the open discussions are inspiring and encouraging to us as well,” says Peder Richard Pedersen, CEO and President, Weibel Scientific.

Beside of the speeches, the program was packed with exciting demonstrations of Weibel’s newest science and technology together with excursions, receptions and beautiful formal dinner parties. On the 23rd of September the team visited the Île de Levant – a whole day trip with transfer by boat. Here the participants had a chance to visit the Levant Test Centre and four explicit sights with radar stations on the island. A nice day packed with great experiences!

The next Weibel Radar Conference will be held in 2012.

“The Agelonde location was ideal for this event and I can’t even begin to describe the spectacular view. The staff was also very polite and helpful. The visit to the test centre was extremely interesting to me and I really appreciated it. Thank you for a great conference.” Diane Arseneault, Senior Contracts Administrator, Kaycom Inc. “The Weibel Conference 2009 was as usual of high standards – all of the speeches were inspirational for me and my costumers from Eastern Europe. Especially the speeches on the future radars and the new platform design were intriguing – I think the development in general is very intelligent and I see a great future for the technology.” Bent Gothenborg, Director of Beatronic Supply.
